Workplace management system means no more human error
Mediaworks, a major digital marketing specialist will relocate its almost 100 employees to a new office letting in Gateshead.
The agency has been located at Team Valley since its inception in 2007, but due to ongoing expansion will now move to the second floor of the Honeycomb building at The Watermark.
The 10,000 sq ft premise was leased to Mediaworks for ten years. The deal was overseen by the commercial property firm Naylors.
The property investment group, Palladium Group, Group acquired the building in 2017 and has invested more than £400,000 in a refurbishment programme to provide office accommodation complete with new LED lighting, shower facilities and air conditioning.
Jessica Ross, associate director at Naylors, said: "Over the last 12 months we have seen a significant transformation take place at Honeycomb and this work has culminated in the letting to Mediaworks."
Palladium Group chairman Spencer Bourne added: "We are delighted to have Mediaworks as our new tenant at Honeycomb Gateshead. The building will provide them with a fantastic platform to attract and retain talented people and will allow them to build on their success to date.
"This is our fifth Honeycomb site and we are actively looking to expand our brand further into other regional cities."

Moving into new premises is the prime time to take stock of your time and attendance management systems and make changes if necessary.
This is particularly important if further staffing expansion is planned, since this will put stress on things like on-boarding procedures, payroll processing and keeping up to date with timesheets.
Our WinTA.NET workplace management system can smooth out any problems that you may be having. The largest source of improvements that we see are from companies which still use some kind of paper recording system.
This might be a paper sign-in sheet for daily hours or fire roll call, or it might be weekly or monthly timesheets meant to be passed to accounts for payroll processing.
Getting employees to record their hours worked directly onto paper is not only open to fraud and mistakes, it also makes room for human error further up the chain.
Managers have to collect all the timesheets – what if they lose them? Whoever needs to transcribe the sheets in order to input hours worked into the payroll program is likely to fall victim to employee’s bad handwriting and forgetfulness.
Thankfully there’s an easy solution. When employees clock in using our clocking terminals (these accept smartcard or biometric data) the information is recorded by the software and can be exported straight to your payroll software.
Minimal human involvement means minimum human error – not to mention it suddenly gives your employees more time to be productive.
