Utility cost management company to create 560 new jobs following office relocation


An utility cost management firm is set to create more than 500 new jobs in the North East area after relocating their offices to a larger base.

Utilitywise has revealed plans to create 560 new positions after relocating to a larger base on Cobalt Business Park, North Tyneside and recording an impressive 105 per cent revenue spike. The firm pointed out that the new roles will be created in "the coming years" and that all staff currently based at Utilitywise House in South Tyneside will be relocated to the new headquarters.

Geoff Thompson, chief executive of Utilitywise, said: "We have enjoyed a period of rapid growth from our headquarters in South Shields and have conducted a thorough evaluation of all of our property options in the region.

"This office move will prepare the company for future growth that will benefit the local economy with employment opportunities."
