Retail chain set to create 100 new jobs in Darlington

A retail chain has announced plans to hire around 100 new employees after opening a new superstore in a local retail park, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

The new Range outlet in Darlington Retail Park will open in April and recruit a workforce of managers, warehouse workers and administrators.

Chris Dawson, owner of The Range, said the move into Darlington would play "an important role" in the company’s rapid expansion plans.

"We feel that The Range is a unique shopping experience that has something for everyone and we are confident that the people of Darlington will enjoy what The Range has to offer," he added.

"I would personally like to thank the council for welcoming us and being so supportive and I look forward to inviting the people of Darlington down to see what we are all about."
