Quick, accurate clocking systems for all types of growing businesses!

Infotel UK Consulting (Infotel UK), a software firm in North Shields, intends to double its employment roster and acquire new customers with a £1 million investment.

The company launched in 2015, delivering custom-made software and applications that help businesses improve their operations.

Part of this expansion has already begun, with new offices in Balliol Business Park in Longbenton which will form an innovation lab and collaboration space. Infotel also intends to increase its expertise in areas like AI and big data, with projects planned with Amazon Web Services.

The investment was supported by a six-figure funding package from Lloyds Bank (Commercial Banking). Currently Infotel has 40 employees and its customers include Nissan Motor Manufacturing and Virgin Money.

Mundeep Nayyar, managing director of Infotel UK said: “The Technology sector in Newcastle upon Tyne is estimated to be worth almost £1bn and growing more than twice as fast as the rest of the economy.

“With access to leading blue-chip businesses that need Infotel UK’s services and nearly 25,000 students in higher education, the City is the ideal location to find and cultivate new talent and to grow a high-tech software business.

“It’s a perfect storm for investment as we look to offer more and better solutions to our clients while maintaining our dedication to quality customer service and delivery.”

Councillor Bruce Pickard, Deputy Mayor of North Tyneside said: “Infotel UK has made North Tyneside its home since launching in 2015 so its fantastic news that the company has chosen to expand in the borough, which is testament to the skills and experience of our local workforce.

“This new office on Balliol Business Park marks exciting times for Infotel UK and the Council looks forward to working with the team as it continues its growth plans.”

Nayyar added: “Businesses want a reputable and experienced partner with a global footprint that can offer cost-effective services from a local office, that’s what Infotel UK will continue to provide from our new offices.”

Infotel UK Consulting opening up a new building is a great sign of growth and ambition, especially as part of their wider expansion plan. However, it is vital that companies don’t overlook the “boring” aspects of running their business as they get excited about chasing the stars.

An area which is often overlooked by forwards-focused companies is how they measure their time and attendance. This is particularly important if they are also recruiting large numbers of new staff like Infotel UK Consulting are intending to, since this puts more strain on existing processes.

The least effective form of time and attendance management is still practiced by hundreds of companies all over the country – the self-reporting paper timesheet.

Commonly it leads to employees forgetting exact details of their shifts and filling the sheets in incorrectly, if at all.

Next, somebody needs to collect all of those individual timesheets and enter all that data painstakingly into a spreadsheet in order to send it to the payroll software.

The best solution is to centralise and automate both those parts of the process. With our clocking stations and top-quality time and attendance software, we can do exactly this.

Employees no longer have to fill in any paperwork, because all they need to do is just clock in or out using their smartcards or fingerprints on our clocking machines. We can even provide a web- and mobile app-based-clocking system called the Self Service Module, for those companies which don’t o wn their own building and can’t alter the wiring.

Whatever the method, the clocking process is over in less than a second and the data is then automatically sent to the central Tensor.NET database.

Payroll staff can then export the collected data later in the month in a format suitable for all the leading payroll programs. Quick, simple and accurate!

Our products are suitable for businesses with more than 10 employees – there is no upper limit!
