Orthodontics firm completes recruitment drive

A Sunderland orthodontics manufacturer has completed a recruitment drive after deciding to move to a new and larger laboratory following continuous growth over the last 15 years, a news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

Ashford Orthodontics has expanded its team by making six appointments. Three new members have been recruited to the production team where they will be making plaster study models of the patients’ mouths, a further one has joined the digital/3D department while two more members of staff have signed up to the administrative team.

Sean Thompson, director of Ashford Orthodontics, said: "It is one of my passions to provide employability for those who often have been forgotten about in the local community. In our 15 years in business, we have provided excellent training and sustainable employment for numerous local people and we are very proud of our contribution in this area.

"We have never had anybody leave us to work elsewhere, so I feel this proves that we must be doing something right."
