Odour control products manufacturer to expand workforce following funding boost

A Newcastle-based firm specializing in the manufacture of odour control products will more than double its existing workforce after moving to new, larger premises, with support from Yorkshire Bank.

2Pure’s product range was developed using patented technology which destroys smells by changing the molecular structure of odour compounds. It also kills odour-causing bacteria which helps prevent them from returning.

As a result of the funding boost, the Newcastle business has moved to larger premises in Eltringham Works in Prudhoe and plans to create 14 new jobs to add to its existing workforce of ten.

Barry Donaghey, managing director of 2Pure, said it is a "very exciting time" for the company.

"Since gaining our patent a couple of years ago, we have worked hard to establish the brand," he added.

"We’re now at a point where our products are used by many major UK organisations and we’re gradually being adopted by households across the land.
