Northgate Public Services to create 235 new tech jobs in Hartlepool

Technology company Northgate Public Services is set to create 235 new tech jobs in Hartlepool, after the town council decided to enter a partnership with the company, a news report in the local media has revealed.

As part of this 7-year agreement (that also features a 3-year extension option), Northgate is set to establish a new Regional Business Centre in Hartlepool, creating anywhere between 235 and 300 jobs in the area.

The deal could save Hartlepool Council £1m per year as Northgate invests £2m in upgrading its IT service. A further £2.9m is estimated to be invested into the local economy over the course of the arrangement.

Joe Bradley, executive director of Northgate, said: "We’re delighted to be working with Hartlepool Council, not only to improve its IT services but to embark on a range of large scale initiatives to benefit the wider community.

"We are proud to be able to offer the council our company’s alternative approach to providing services to councils such as this and to help with their key aims of economic regeneration, job creation and business growth."
