Maintenance company set for significant growth
A high rise maintenance company based in Darlington has gone on a recruitment drive after winning multiple large contracts, but a lack of skilled workers prevents it from filling up all available positions, a recent news report in the local media has been able to find.
The Stone Technical Service Group (STS) as recently secured new contracts with the Royal Courts of Justice in London, Westminster Central Hall, Lumley Castle in County Durham, Barnard Castle Church, Barnard Castle Sixth Form College, Stiller in Aycliffe, Strike’s in Northallerton, various councils around the UK and with the English Heritage and the National Trust.
As a result, it has started hiring across all of its divisions but has been hit by a major skills gap with a lack of experienced workers in the heritage, lightning protection and high level maintenance sectors.
