Customer contact company is to create 1,200 jobs in County Durham

A customer contact company has revealed plans to create around 1,200 new jobs in County Durham, as part of a major investment drive in the area, a news source can reveal.

Hull-headquartered ResQ, which offers companies inbound and outbound customer services, will set up a contact centre at Spectrum Business Park in Seaham and plans to create the 1,200 posts over the next three years. The new roles will comprise staff in client relations, IT specialists, HR professionals, training specialists and support staff.

Nic Marshall, ResQ chief executive, said: "Spectrum Business Park and County Durham as a whole offered us the quality of premises we needed for this key expansion of our business, with access to a high quality workforce which was critical in our decision-making process.

"We are delighted to be expanding our operations into the North East. Our growth means that County Durham will benefit economically as we create hundreds of jobs in Seaham over the next three years."
