Building services contractor plans to open new office as part of development plan

A building services contractor based in Stockton-on-Tees plans to open a new regional office and hire more staff as part of a national expansion plan prompted by a £10m growth in turnover during the last financial year, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

LJJ is set to open a 2,100 sq ft Midlands office on Birmingham Business Park close to the NEC. The move will provide the company with a central base from which to service projects across the North West, Midlands, South West and Wales.

Director of operations John Daly will head up the new office. He said now is the right time to "capitalise on the market’s continuing recovery" and put in place the regional infrastructure the company needs to expand further.

"After managing growth to ensure we protected quality standards and margins over the past few years, we grew significantly during 2014 to reach a £40m turnover," he added. "We already have £46m in secured contracts for 2015, putting us on track to do £50m this year."
