Plans approved for new residential development in Newcastle
Plans for building a new 200-home residential development in Newcastle have been approved by the local authorities, a recent news report in the local media has been able to suggest.
The scheme designed by Persimmon Homes North East is earmarked for land west of Dinnington Village.
The development would comprise a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached two- to two-and-a-half-storey properties ranging from two to five bedrooms. Each would also have gardens to the front and rear.
The developer estimates that the proposal would result in the creation of "800 person years" worth of jobs.
"As the development progresses to completion, the proposal would contribute to the local economy by providing increased spending power through the introduction of new residents to the village," added a report to councillors.
