Customer management services firm to create 600 new jobs in Newcastle
One of the UK’s largest customer management services firms will create up to 600 new jobs after becoming the sole tenant of The Rocket in Newcastle’s Stephenson Quarter, a local business report revealed.
The building will be home to Convergys’ new contact centre and represents an expansion of its presence in the region, with 700 staff already employed at the Quorum Business Park.
Phil Telfer, UK lead at Convergys, added: "This investment not only demonstrates our ambition to grow in the UK, but also our commitment to the city of Newcastle, where we have been an employer for almost 25 years.
"We wanted to choose a building within a prestigious location that was impactful and put down a clear statement of our UK ambition. With The Rocket building we believe we have achieved this."
