Multiple jobs lost following soft play business closure
Multiple jobs have been lost after a Gosforth company which operated a children’s soft play business was placed into liquidation, a news report in the local business media has been able to find.
The Play Station’s soft play centre offered a range of children’s classes and rented out space on a short-term basis.
The company had operated in Gosforth for four years but, due to reduced levels of funding and income, was "faced with no option other than to close".
Matt Higgins and Steve Ross of RSM Restructuring Advisory were appointed joint liquidators on 18 April 2016. The company ceased trading and eight full and part-time jobs were lost.
The contents of the building were sold prior to the appointment of the liquidators and those assets have been cleared.
Ross said: "It is regretful to all concerned that The Play Station has had to close its doors and we are working with third parties to return any personal items found inside the premises."
