New major housing scheme set for approval in County Durham
Plans for building a new 155-home development in County Durham are likely to be approved in the near future, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.
Barratt David Wilson North East’s proposal is to build the scheme on 13.8 acres of agricultural land located to the south of the built-up area of Coxhoe. The development should include 27 two-bed, 98 three-bed and 30 four-bed properties.
A report to planners said: "The development will assist in maintaining housing land supply. To a degree the development would provide direct and indirect economic benefits within the locality and from further afield in the form of expenditure in the local economy."
Durham County Council has been recommended to approve the proposal at its meeting today.
Development projects of this type typically involve a fairly large number of contractors and sub-contractors, and this is specifically the reason why any construction company that will take on the task of carrying out the works should either have in place or implement a solid and reliable time and attendance and access control solution.
