Energy and facilities management firm to create 200 new jobs in Newcastle


An energy, technical and facilities management services provider is set to create 200 jobs in Newcastle after investing in a new operation in the area, a recent news report in the local business media was able to reveal.

Cofely already employs more than 15,000 staff in the UK, will take on a 26,000 sq ft building at Quorum Business Park. An estimated 50 existing members of staff will relocate to this new building, while up to 200 new jobs are expected to be created on the premises over the next year and a half.

David Hughes, head of shared services from Cofely, said: "The move will put Cofely in a better position to support the increased demands of our enlarged business and enable future growth.

"The North East offers a great investment opportunity for businesses such as ourselves who are looking to relocate and further their development."
